Selection Between 2 Legendary Grand Piano Sounds
The installed sounds of two world-renowned grand pianos are independently selectable. Easily choose the ideal tone to suit the music being played as well as the performance environment.
GRAND PIANO 1 – A superior instrument for powerful, richly reverberating performances. It reproduces classic grand piano sounds across the range from soft, delicate tones to strong, powerful tones, depending on the weight of the keystrokes.
GRAND PIANO 2 – Choose this for bright, luxuriant performances. It makes its presence felt with crisp, straightforward sound, even when being played in a band. Its tonality is ideally suited to jazz and pop music.
String Resonance
The new AiR sound source reproduces the resonance created from using the damper pedal. It achieves this through the use of a stereo resonance simulator for all 88 keys. The attention to detail goes so far as to simulate the resonance created by the lifting of the dampers themselves when the pedal is pressed. The resonance system allows players to perform with an unprecedented amount of expressive detail.
Tri-Sensor Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard II
The new Tri-Sensor Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard II is wonderful. It responds to subtle variations in the time between detection of a keystroke and sound production, depending on the speed of the keystroke. The system uses three sensors that detect the keystroke sequentially. This also enables a sound to be produced repeatedly, even when the key has not fully returned to its resting position. The action relies solely on the weight of the hammer. Because this becomes progressively heavier towards the lower end and progressively lighter towards the higher end of the keyboard, it simulates the characteristic action of a grand piano.
Simulated Ebony and Ivory Feel Keys
The simulated ebony and ivory keys offer the luxurious feel and texture of a grand piano keyboard. The texture allows maximum grip and avoids slipping of the fingers due to moisture.
Elegant Cabinet Design
The AP-270 is housed in a traditional piano style cabinet, which incorporates a sliding key cover to protect the keys when the piano isn’t being used. The design and colour options ensure that your piano will suit any space and style of home decor.
