Based on the design of a cajon with two playing surfaces, the Schlagwerk Agile dual cajon provides two sounds in one instrument. The first side features precise snare sounds combined with a warm and open bass. The second playing surface typifies the dry Cuban sound character. For varied sound production the snare technology can be exchanged between the playing surfaces.
Agilis is a Latin word meaning “easily moved”. The word “agile” has developed from this in many languages as a synonym for energy, ease and liveliness. A fitting name for Schlagwerk’s new cajon series. The technical core is formed by a removable element for creating an exceptionally fast and precisely responsive snare sound.
This sensitive attack is produced in the base & dual models using a snare carpet. In the pro models a flexible damping system combined with adjustable string tension ensures a very agile attack.

The Fender Mojo Grip is a nitrile rubber sleeve that provides a better gripping surface, and extra thickness to a 351 shape pick. This 3-pack of Mojo Grips come with a Dura-Tone Delrin pick already in place.
The Vater Jay Weinberg 908 is in between a 5A and 5B for a comfortable grip. It adds 1/4″ length for some added reach. The 908 has a quick taper for a slight forward throw but with a fast response. The medium sized barrel tip delivers a defined ride cymbal tone without lacking volume to cut through while putting out full drum tones.
All these elements make the 908 a great stick for playing at both medium to high tempos with fast fills and for also more straight ahead rock, groove playing.
