The Nuvo jHorn provides the opportunity to learn important “brass” skills from as young as 4 years old. With a full, resonant tone and standard brass fingerings, it is also a lot of fun to play for the brass enthusiast who wants a lightweight, low cost, durable instrument to play on the go.
The jHorn is tuned in Bb and plays the same register as the tenor trombone, euphonium and baritone horn. It comes with a unique multi-cup mouthpiece to enable experimentation with low, middle or high brass embouchures. You may also try standard trumpet, tenor horn and narrow bore trombone mouthpieces.
The patented rotary face-valve technology provides a solution that looks and feels like piston valves but needs little to no maintenance apart from an occasional wash down with warm soapy water.
The jHorn can also be tuned in concert pitch (C-tubes included).

The Gibson SG Standard rocks the classic looks and features associated with the late 60’s style SG models sought after by many. A rounded profile mahogany neck, bound rosewood fingerboard, long tenon 19th fret neck joint, and a solid mahogany body provide the backbone for singing sustain, while the 490R and 490T Alnico II pickups provide the power to drive.
The Vater Jay Weinberg 908 is in between a 5A and 5B for a comfortable grip. It adds 1/4″ length for some added reach. The 908 has a quick taper for a slight forward throw but with a fast response. The medium sized barrel tip delivers a defined ride cymbal tone without lacking volume to cut through while putting out full drum tones.
All these elements make the 908 a great stick for playing at both medium to high tempos with fast fills and for also more straight ahead rock, groove playing.
