Ibanez SR300EDX Electric Bass Guitar
For 30 years, the Ibanez SR300EDX has provided bass players a modern alternative. Bassists have embraced it for decades. The iconic series continues to excite with its smooth neck, lightweight body, and matched electronics. The SR300EDX is a sleek 4-string bass designed for experienced players. It features an immaculately finished Nyatoh body. Other features include a sturdy 5-piece Maple/Walnut SR4 neck and a Jatoba fingerboard. The Accu-cast B500 bridge ensures superior string vibration transfer and precise intonation, and also includes adjustable saddles for variable string spacing. Cosmo Black hardware adds a hint of stealth.
The SR300EDX’s electronics feature two PowerSpan Dual Coil pickups. Their stainless pole pieces offer higher output and clarity. These pickups provide fullness that outperforms others in the SR300’s class. The 3-way “Power Tap” switch accesses three tonal options. You can choose between a rich humbucker sound, a pure single-coil sound, or an enhanced single-coil sound. The humbucker pickups fatten the lows for an enhanced tone. The Ibanez Custom 3-band EQ allows precise tone adjustments, making the SR300EDX a musical chameleon.

Ibanez Custom Electronics 3-band EQ w/3-way Power Tap switch
The 3-band EQ works in conjunction with a coil tap switch for maximum control over a wide variety of professional bass tones. Tap Mode (single coil) creates a punchy, dynamic sound with superior articulation. Series Mode (humbucking) delivers a full, warm tone, and Power Tap Mode provides the best of both worlds-combining the clarity of the single coil with the fat bottom end of the humbucker.
