This Tanglewood Discovery Exotic range of acoustic electric guitars feature striking Hawaiian Rainwood. Invoking an air of extravagance, yet packed into budget conscious models, these punch well above their weight. With a select spruce top, plus stunning Hawaiian Rainwood back & sides, these guitars look as good as they sound. Plus, they’re equipped with the Tanglewood TEX4-EQ pickup system for a great plugged-in performance.

The Tanglewood Discovery Exotic range features striking wood grains that invoke an air of extravagance packed into a budget model.
Our stunning new Discovery Exotic Series is constructed from sustainably grown Hawaiian Rainwood. Imported from the South Pacific, this stunning timber provides a wonderful appearance for these guitars.
To maximise the instruments we can build, we produce only the back of each model in Rainwood, then construct matching sides from Walnut. Hopefully, this exotic complement of timbers will allow the production of these guitars for many years to come.
Our hand selected tops are from the mountains of the Himalayas. These hardy spruce timbers are chosen for their tonal excellence & exquisite grade patterns. So, playing these fine instruments constantly reminds you of their craftsmanship.
Quarter sawn tapered spruce bracing gives a gravitas and warmth to the construction of each top and lets every instrument sing.
We fit silky smooth Eboncore finger boards for maximum fret efficiency and feel. Also, these guitars have an onboard 4-band EX4 EQ, to make them stage or studio compatible.
