It sets itself apart from the regular Les Paul Studio with features that include an Ultra-Modern weight-relieved mahogany body with an AA figured maple cap, a mahogany neck with a bound ebony fretboard, SlimTaper™ profile, and Modern Contoured Heel for unmatched access to the upper frets, Grover® Rotomatic® tuners with Keystone buttons, and ’57 Classic™ and ’57 Classic + pickups wired to individual push/pull volume and tone controls for coil tapping, phase, and pure bypass switching for a wide range of tonal options. Available in a variety of gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finishes with matching trim, this is the ultimate Les Paul Studio model, refined and updated for today’s players who want more from their Les Paul. A soft-shell case is also included.

Now, the Les Paul Studio family has a new member—the Les Paul Studio Session. It’s an enhanced version of the classic Les Paul Studio. It features upgrades based on customer feedback and player requests. This guitar steps up from earlier Les Paul Studio models. It has an Ultra Modern weight-relieved mahogany body. This makes it lighter and more comfortable to play, no matter the gig or jam session length. The carved, AA figured maple cap looks great and adds brightness to the tone. It combines perfectly with the mahogany body’s warmth and midrange punch. This gives you that legendary Les Paul sound heard on countless hit recordings and concert stages worldwide. The glued-in mahogany neck creates a solid connection with the body for more resonance and sustain.
Player Specs
The neck features a Modern Contoured Heel, offering better access to the upper frets. It has a fast-playing SlimTaper™ profile. The bound ebony fretboard has acrylic trapezoid inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets. The 12” fretboard radius is perfect for both rhythm playing and lead bends. You’ll love how this instrument feels in your hands. High-quality Grover® Rotomatic® tuners with Keystone buttons add classic visual appeal. The adjustable aluminum Nashville Tune-O-Matic™ bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece help maintain tuning stability. A Graph Tech® nut keeps tuning solid, so you can play more and tune less.
The Les Paul Studio Session excels in electronics, too. It comes with a ’57 Classic™ pickup in the neck and a ’57 Classic + in the bridge. A three-way pickup selector lets you choose between individual pickups or both together. Each pickup has its own volume control for blending sounds. The volume controls feature a push/pull switch for coil tapping, giving you two sounds per pickup. Each pickup also has its own tone control, offering even more options. The tone controls feature push/pull potentiometers for phase switching when both pickups are used together. Pure Bypass switching routes the bridge pickup directly to the output jack, bypassing all controls for the purest signal path.
